  • The Green Goblin regains his memory and kills Gwen. Not much later he falls victim to his own glider.
  • In the aftermath, MJ for the first time decides to lose her happy-go-lucky image and to stay with the smithen Peter.
  • Slowly, Peter and MJ open up to each other and when Peter leaves for Europe, they kiss for the first time. A kiss, that changes everything.
  • Aunt May helps the young couple to cope with their feelings.
  • Peter (in the wake of the clone affair) finally realizes that he loves Mary Jane.
  • Unable to handle her feelings, MJ pulls away from Peter and start to date Flash.
  • The wedding of Harry Osborn and Liz Allen sets MJ's mind also on marriage.
  • Then Peter proposes to MJ, but she rejects him in order to be free and moves to Florida to live with her aunt.
  • Now Peter starts several relationships, from the Black Cat to Amy Powell.
  • A year later, MJ returns. Aunt May again starts to make attempts to bring Peter and Mary Jane together.
  • But Peter is more attracted to the Black Cat. When the Puma attacks him and Mary Jane, MJ finally reveals that she knows Peter's secret.
  • She also tells him about her parents and her childhood and why she became the party-only girl.
  • Mary Jane is drawn into Spider-Man's adventures, which brings her close to him.
  • Another rift opens, when MJ redecorates Peter's appartment - hurting his pride a lot.
  • But in the end, the two lover find together and marry, living happily after for at least another couple of issues.

Pages 10 to 19.1Madame Medusa forces the Human Torch to aid her in her escape from a mysterious man called Gorgon. They fight near State University, where they free Dragon Man from his prison. Dragon Man is drawn to Medusa, like he was to the Invisible Girl and so starts to defend her, when Gorgon attacks. The FF, mistaking Dragon Man and Medusa for another attack, fight the android, but the appearance of Gorgon stops the fight. Dragon Man grabs Sue and while the FF follow him, Gorgon captures Medusa and escapes. Anyhow, Sue uses her hold over the Dragon Man to end the fighting.Fantastic Four (I) #44
Pages 19.2-4 to 32Later, Johnny Storm wanders the streets of Manhattan, when he meets a beautiful girl - who shys away at first, but loses all fear when he flames on. Her name is Crystal and she takes him to an underground community of super-powered beings calling themselves the Inhumans. When Johnny encounters Gorgon and Medusa, he summons his team collegues. They meet the leader of the Inhumans, Black Bolt and start to fight. Meanwhile, the Inhuman called Seeker mistakes the Dragon Man for an Inhuman, and kidnaps him from the Baxter Building. The Inhumans, which the FF fight, use Lockjaw's power to flee to the Great Refuge - their only chance as they believe. Next the Fantatic Four battle the Seeker and his helpers and free the Dragon Man and another Inhuman named Triton. In the Great Refuge Black Bolt seizes the crown from his brother, Maximus, and declares himself king again. Hot on the trail of Crystal, the FF arrive at the Great Refuge.Fantastic Four (I) #45, 46, 47

Pages 8 to 9As soon as the Fantastic Four return to New York, Uatu the Watcher appears to warn them from a world-shattering threat: The Silver Surfer has entered the solar system, in search for nourishment for his master Galactus.Fantastic Four (I) #48
Pages 10 to 25The origin of Galactus. In the universe that existed before the Marvel Universe, there was a world named Taa, on which an explorer called Galan lived. When the universe finally collapsed into itself, the sentience of this universe bonded with Galan to create a new being, that would survive into the next universe. This new being was found by the Watcher Ecce. Although Ecce realized the danger the new being would become one day, he was bound by the oath of non-interference and fled instead of ending the danger. After awaking, the altered Galan learned to control his new power and created an armor to regulate his energies. He transformed his old spaceship into an incubation chamber to complete his own transformation. After drifting for countless centuries, the chamber arrived at Archeopia - the first planet to fall before the newly born Galactus. From the remains of the planet he constructed his world-ship Taa II.Super-Villain Classics #1
Pages 26 to 32On the peaceful planet of Zenn-La lived Norrin Radd and his beloved Shalla-Bal. Norrin was never satisfied with his pleasure-filled life and used all chances for exploring and adventures. Uatu breaks his oath and sends the Human Torch on a quest: To find the Ultimate Nullifier in Taa II. The Surfer has landed on Alicia Master's rooftop and she tends to him. Her strong feelings awaken the Surfers own emotions again and he turns against Galactus for the life of Earth. But nothing he or the Fantastic Four can do is enough to make Galactus change his mind. Only when they turn the Ultimate Nullifier against the world-devourer, he agrees to leave the world, but not before he banishes the Silver Surfer to the planet for which he betrayed his master.Fantastic Four (I) #49
